We are actively looking to hire one or more experienced paralegals/legal assistants to our firm’s business and general litigation team. At this time, we are looking for candidates with experience – a person who has worked within a law firm for a minimum of three years (whether that be under the title of “paralegal” or “legal assistant.”) Each member of the firm regularly communicates with clients and works directly with the firm’s attorneys to advance the clients’ business or litigation interests. Accordingly, strong writing and organizational skills are of critical importance in our daily work. We believe our firm sets itself apart in not only furthering our employees’ professional growth, but also providing a reasonable work environment. The primary job responsibilities require assisting in all facets of a client’s claim or defense, including meeting with clients; communicating with opposing counsel and court personnel; drafting pleadings and other legal documents; reviewing, analyzing, and summarizing pertinent records and evidence; and organizing and maintaining client files.
Other expectations for applicants include:
•A minimum of 3 years of working within the legal industry, although an applicant need not possess a paralegal certificate or equivalent;
•Highly proactive with attention to detail, dependable, and extremely organized, with strong writing skills;
•Excellent computer skills, including at least intermediate command of Word and Excel;
•Excellent proofreading skills; and
•General knowledge of the civil litigation process and court rules, use of Oklahoma District Court forms; We are looking to fill full time positions which are paid on a salary basis.
