Justin Mai is an associate attorney for Overman Legal Group. His civil litigation practice area includes real property and landlord-tenant issues, contract disputes, wrongful death claims, and employment discrimination. He also has a keen interest in criminal defense matters.
Justin was born and raised in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he attended North High School and went on to the University of Oklahoma, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a double major in history and letters in 2015. At the University of Oklahoma College of Law, Justin earned numerous academic distinction awards and served as an Assistant Managing Editor for the Oklahoma Law Review. His internships included the Oklahoma County Public Defender’s Office and the ACLU as well as Oklahoma District Judge Michael Tupper and 10th Circuit Court of Appeals Judge Robert Bacharach. Justin also attended the 2018 Beijing Summer Abroad Program, earning top honors in a Chinese exchange program with students from multiple international law schools. He graduated from OU Law in May, 2020.
Before attending law school, Justin worked as an algebra tutor at an at-risk high school in Denver through Americorps. He currently lives in Oklahoma City with a cat, multiple fish tanks, and his girlfriend, Caitlyn.
